Inside CHI Franciscan’s Mission Control Command Center

CHI Franciscan hospital system in Western Washington uses their Mission Control Command Center to manage beds, health care workers, and other constrained resources. “We have real time data for all of our hospitals, for every patient we’re caring for,” said Dr. Jessica Schlicher, medical director, CHI Franciscan Mission Control.

The Command Center technology enables them to coordinate functions that are normally separate and siloed, such as transferring and expediting patients, emergency dispatching and managing the hospitals’ workforces. In addition to streamlining patient flow in real time, forecasts allow them to plan for future needs proactively.
