Open Positions:

As a Principal Product Manager at GEHealthCare, you’ll support the Command Center product. Command Center helps hospitals and health systems care for patients more efficiently, effectively and with higher quality. It coordinates scattered healthcare data, complex protocols, and siloed care teams and offers a real-time decision and collaboration platform at the patient, unit, department, health system and regional level. As result, health systems unlock capacity, improve length of stay, and create a predictable patient flow.
 
As a Principal Product Manager, you will help the Command Center product develop business cases for new product ideas, leading R&D efforts. Because Command Center is used by so many health systems in the U.S and worldwide, you will be in a unique position to advance the future of operational and clinical innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with providers, nurses, and operational staff across the entire heath system. You will lead industry / market research, competitive analysis, user research, and use case evaluation across desirability, viability, and feasibility to make go-no-go decisions on 0 to 1 products. You will manage a diverse set of stakeholders and work directly with end users and customer executives.

Job Description

What you’ll do: 

  • Talk to customers and get deeply familiar with their workflows and pain points 
  • Lead user research, market research, market sizing, pricing analysi, competitive analysis, and P&L modeling for new ideas 
  • Explore new use case ideas and write business cases as well as product requirements documents for MVP definition 
  • Own and develop a business case framework to assess for viability 
  • Recommend the highest value product improvements and new ideas across a diverse set of stakeholders and priorities 
  • Launch 0 to 1 products with technical teams 
  • Partner with Command Center’s consulting and advisory team on customer facing discovery 
  • Do all the things you’d expect from a product manager, like driving planning, prioritization, defining requirements, and collaborating across engineering, data science, UX, sales, marketing, etc.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 8 years industry experience 
  • 5 years product management experience 
  • Experience working with hospitals / providers 
  • Experience with user research and discovery 
  • Experience working with agile development teams 
  • Experience defining product requirements and using data and metrics to determine outcomes 
  • Experience with business case development 

Desired Characteristics

  • Design thinking methodology  
  • B2B healthcare product experience 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The ability to travel 50-60%

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $170,544.00-$255,816.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

This early sales leader is an independent contributor reporting to a Principal or Managing Director, works primarily externally to generate early interest in Command Center and subsequently introduce a GEHC Command Center commercial leader to develop and pursue that opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Personally creating opportunities for qualified l hospital and healthsystem leadership who have the ability to positively influence, or make the decision to purchase GEHC Command Center programs. Create meetings in order for the GEHC Command Center commercial team to educate/discuss Command Center capabilities and how it could solve  intractable problems. Work with commercial team on strategy for meetings and participate in business development meetings as requested.

Strategic Influence: As requested, give input to help shape the business strategy.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings. Interpret internal and external business dynamics, advocating best practices to refine products, processes, or services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare sales
  • Direct experience in hospital operations for at least a significant portion of their time with health systems
  • Basic Knowledge of health IT systems, EMR, etc
  • Strong connection to the healthcare community with contacts to other healthcare professionals across the United States
