#17 - Procedural Snapshot Tile

This is Andy with the Command Center team, and today I'm here to talk to you about the Procedural Snapshot Tile. We're here on Tile Viewer, which is our landing page. Whenever you log into our system, you see a variety of Tiles or apps to pick from. Today, we're going to talk about Procedural Snapshot. So I'll click there to dive into the Tile.
Before I look at the body of the Tile, the content, I always just want to orient to the navigation of the Tile. In the top left, you see, of course, the name of the Tile, Procedural Snapshot. As you move across to the right, you'll see a little box. It's the rapid nav button. That navigates between views and you can save views and rapidly click between them based on what you like.
Next to that is the ‘i’, the Info button. This is where the Legend lives. And you can always look at the Legend to see the definition of any flag or symbol on the Tile, exactly what it means, and you don't need to have a lookup sheet or a cheat sheet, t's always right here and available for your use.
Next to that is the little Settings or gear button. This is where users can change the way the Tile appears to fit their preferences. And they can save that so they can use it later. So they can change things like, of course, like their view. They can change the way the Tile sorts. So you can sort by different features, you can change the way the scrolling behavior of the Tile works, you can turn on and off categories of barriers or alerts, and you can apply filters and remove filters. Okay? And then when you get it the way you like it, we won't do it now, but you can save your settings so the next time you log in you come right back to the same spot. And then all the way over in the bottom left hand corner of the Tile, the little flickering bars, that's the Freshness Indicator. That shows us when the Tile last got data from the system.
And so, this way we know the Tile gets data within three minutes, every three minutes, the data is fresh, and we know that everything's working as planned.
Now, of course, this data today you're seeing is mock data. No PHI is exposed, but it's very representative of what you see in real life when the Tile is used.
Okay. So let's look at the Tile content itself. Across the top in the area that says progress, you see a number of dial indicators. Each of these areas, the main OR, the VAS OR, the IR labs, the cath labs, the EP labs, each of these is a procedural modality, if you will. Okay, and then within any one of those modalities, you see some different numbers. In the center there, like on main OR, you see 77. That means there's 77 cases on for today. The red number above that, that says 14, that means there's 14 add-ons. And the negative 36 below, that means we're projecting 36 cases today to run late. Okay? Not a good day, again, in this mock data. The 9, 17, 51: 9 is how many cases are complete, 17 is how many cases were in flight, and 51 is how many cases are to go.
To the left of that is a real-time current indication of first case on-time starts and room turnaround time, FCOTs and TAT. This is continuously calculated throughout the day so that we can try to hit our objective of first case on-time starts and a turnaround times to meet our operating objectives. And then to the left of that, you see 7:00 AM, 3:00 PM, down to 9:00 PM. This is projected rooms running by hour of the day. So we're continuously forecasting how many rooms are going to be running when, so we can plan ahead for how many teams we might need later in the day and make sure that we are set up to meet our demand.
Now, the bottom section of the Tile, the three pains you see down there for each of these different modalities of procedure type, these are patient level alerts. So each row is a patient that has something alerting The first one there, we can click on these alerts to see what's going on. The first one there, a patient is due in OR one and they're late. You can see details, the surgeon's name, the type of anesthesia, the type of procedure, and whatnot. Some other types of alerts you see there, the little calendar, that next one down, that means there's a conflict. Based on what we're projecting, there's going to be a conflict that's going to cause an operational problem.
And then scrolling down lower, you see the green one. That is a room that's running ahead. So we have a case that's scheduled to start later in the day, but we're projecting that that room and everything you need is going to come available earlier so we could potentially be ready to pull a patient ahead. And so we might want to get them prepped and ready a little early in case that indeed does play out.
So let's go back up to the gear button and try to change some of the settings. So, if we go into the gear, and for example, let's say I'm not interested in IR or Kathy P. I just care about OR today. So I'm going to turn off two of the three categories, and then I'll hit apply. And what you'll see is that the Tile now just is showing the OR alerts, and if you have lots of them, now there'll be three columns of them and you'll have less scrolling of the Tile, which is more convenient if you are the OR person you might want to save it this way.
Let's go back to the gear again and turn those categories back on. And let's try applying a filter. So let's say I'm going to turn on a filter here and I'm going to do it by barrier type. And let's say, for example, I am really interested in... Oh, let's see. Maybe a patient schedule conflict. Let's say I'm the scheduling person. And I want to make sure I work the schedules. I'm going to click on that and add filter. And I will hit apply.
And now I just see my scheduling conflicts. So again, this Tile can be filtered and sorted and adjusted to reflect the role of the user, and to help them make best use of the Tile and save it that way so next time they come back it's just the way they like it. So that's the Procedural Snapshot Tile, a Tile that provides situational awareness as well as patient level actionable alerts to help keep the ORs running smoothly and help patients meet their goals of care.
