Statewide Real-Time Tracking of Beds and Ventilators in Oregon

In 2020, the state of Oregon was able to rapidly deploy a regional capacity management system to provide real-time monitoring of bed and ventilator capacity across the entire state. Through a collaboration across health systems, health authorities, and GE HealthCare, the team built upon the technology already being used at the Mission Control Command Center at Oregon Health & Science University to create an automated bed and resource tracking system that is updated every five minutes.
