The Aukahi Center, The Queen’s Health System’s new command center, will provide real-time visibility to supply and demand for inpatient capacity at a system, facility, and unit level. Supported by GE HealthCare’s Command Center technology, the center will enable care teams at the 8000-employee health system to improve collaboration for patient care.

“The Queen’s Innovation Institute, which launched in March 2023 and is the first of its kind in Hawaii, uses technology to improve access to care—from emergency care to elective appointments and from admissions without long boarding times to timely discharges and transfers,” said Jason Chang, President of The Queen’s Health System’s Innovation Institute and Executive Vice President of Innovation and Strategy. “The Innovation Institute’s new command center will bolster our efforts to increase access to high quality care by improving continuity and collaboration among the various teams and departments that provide care during a patient’s hospital stay.”
