The Queen’s Health System’s New Command Center Monitors Patient Status, Statewide Hospital Capacity

With the launch of The Aukani Command Center, Queen’s Health System is better equipped to manage patients across its facilities on multiple islands. Supported by GE HealthCare’s Command Center platform, the centralized command center provides care teams with real-time data to enable faster, informed decisions related to patient flow, available capacity, and transfers.
Hospitals will now be able to better balance capacities across facilities. “They’ll be able to say, ‘Oh we are already at 260% capacity at this facility. But our friends are only at 80% capacity down the road. Let’s work out that transfer. This would be life saving,” said Hawaii’s Governor Josh Green.
