Johns Hopkins Capacity Command Center | Improving Efficiency and Patient Care

The state-of-the-art Judy Reitz Capacity Command Center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital combines the latest in systems engineering, predictive analytics and innovative problem-solving to better manage patient safety, experience and volume. Since the command center opened in 2016, the staff have worked behind the scenes at The Johns Hopkins Hospital to ensure the right patient gets to the right bed at the right time.

Most patients, including Rodney Matthews, are unaware of the command center’s existence, but can feel the effects of its work.
