The team at Swedish believes that no one should have to wait for care. To achieve this mission, they’ve created a Staffing, Transfer and Operations Center (STOC). “STOC will ensure that every patient receives the right care at the right time in the right place,” says Shelley Livingston, regional director of clinical resource management. “With this technology, we can now operate as one, 1,200-bed hospital system rather than five separate hospitals and two freestanding emergency departments.”
